Ray's New Primary Arithmetic

The first book, the Primary Arithmetic, is surprising in its depth. It begins with simple counting and number recognition and then progressing through the basic functions of addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division. Many of the lessons involve learning by rote and we are confident that teachers frequently tested their students' abilities to recite the rote operations. The book concludes with several pages to devoted to problems involving different units of measures, some involving archaic units such as rods or gills.

The original of this book was copyrighted in 1877.

<94 pages. Hardbound

Price: $7.99
