We are changing our Monkey on a Stick. As mentioned in the original writeup for the monkey, in
an engraving in a December, 1860, edition of Godey's, a toy shop is portrayed. Among
all the other toys shown in the picture, there is a picture of a Monkey on a Stick. When we were cruising ebay, we saw an antique monkey which was almost identical to this monkey, including the straight wooden tail (alas, we were outbid or else we could include pictures of that monkey).
