Endless Landscape or Myriorama

These cards date from the 1830's. They consist of 24 cards (each card is about 2 3/4 inches tall by 1 1/4 inches wide) whose images are drawn so that they may be placed side by side to make a composite scene. The illustration above shows a sample with gaps intentionally left between the cards so that you can see the individual cards. I've also put them in two rows because a single row would have been twice as long -- a bit much to squeeze on the width of your computer screen! They mention on the box how many different combinations you can make and it is a 25 digit number so I don't think you'll ever assemble all of them.
