Playing Cards of Generals

These two decks of cards are reproductions of decks published in 1863. Each card shows an engraving of a general ranging from the very well known to obscure generals who would be challenging to identify in a game of civil war trivia.

In assigning the values of each card, there are some surprising assignments. We don't know the reasoning behind how the generals were assigned to the different cards but doesn't seem to be any correlation with the prominence of the individual. For example, Robert E. Lee only rates the three of hearts and Ulysses S. Grant is only the five of diamonds. The cost of a pack of General's Cards is $6.00 per pack.
